WHO WE ARE

The FCRA Educational Foundation is. . .

A vehicle to build much needed funding to support education of Cancer Registrars to ensure that the quality of the cancer data collection and analysis will continuously improve through the education in Cancer Registry Management and its evolving practice.
A public charity with the sole purpose of encouraging the advancement of data quality in cancer research through direct support of Cancer Registrar education.
An essential partner for the prevention, research and cure of cancer. The Foundation supports its mission by assuring education, training and resources for Cancer Registry professionals in order to provide quality data.
A non- profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of “supporting the advancement of the Cancer Registry profession through education and research.”

Donate Now! This is a unique way to honor special persons and affairs while making a contribution to support the FCRA Educational Foundation. All donations will be recognized on the FCRA Education Foundation website and published in the FCRA Newsletter, The SunTimes. The amount of your gift is never mentioned to the individual or family you have honored. In addition, your recipient will receive acknowledgment of your kind donation. Gift for Education donations are tax deductible.

Dolores Krull Michels-Harper, CTR Memorial Fund

Dolores Krull Michels-Harper made many contributions to the cancer registrar industry throughout her career as a CTR. To commemorate the effect, she has had on our industry, the FCRA Education Foundation created the Dolores Krull Michels-Harper Memorial Fund. Dolores’ contributions include:

Founding member of the National Tumor Registrars Association (now NCRA) Serving as President of the National Tumor Registrars Association in 1981-1982
Serving in the Pennsylvania Tumor Registrars Association, participating on many committees and as President in 1975-76
Acting as liaison to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC), as well as several committees and working groups for the ACoS COC
Being an active volunteer for her local American Cancer Society Writing numerous publications that appeared in the pages of The Connection and The Abstract
Furthering the FCRAs impact, choosing Orlando for the location of the annual NCRA conference in 1982, when she was NTRA President
Participating as faculty for several FCRA educational conferences Dolores was chosen as an Honorary FCRA Member in 1989

Rosemarie Clive-Bumpus, LPN, CTR

Rosemarie Clive-Bumpus served as NCRA President in 1984 and was recognized as a Distinguished Member in 1992. She was awarded the Calum S. Muir Memorial Award in 1999 to recognize her substantive and outstanding contributions to the field of cancer registration.

Martha Oliva, CTR, Memorial Fund

Martha was the Manager of the Cancer Program at Teaching Hospital, and a Regional Field Staff Consultant for the Commission on Cancer, American College of Surgeons, Cancer Program Consultant: International Union Against Cancer/Union Internationale Contre le Cancer UICC); providing lectures & training classes for FCRA and throughout Central and South America for the International Union Against Cancer/Union Internationale Contre le Cancer (UICC).

She was a Founding member, President, and Treasurer of the Florida Cancer Registrars Association (FCRA) and National Cancer Registrars Association (now NCRA) She was also the Treasurer of the FCRA Education Foundation.
